Carrie Underwood Stars In The Sound of Music Tonight

Tonight, Carrie Underwood stars as Maria Von Trapp, in the live telecast of The Sound of Music.  She and her mother have always been huge fans of the musical and she is thrilled to be part of it.  Things have been interesting for Carrie at rehearsal the last few days.  She has had a run-in with a bat, smacked herself in the face with her guitar and injured herself playing leap frog.  She says you won’t see her playing leap frog in tonight’s show.  Pop the popcorn! The three hour television event airs tonight on NBC.

Lionel Richie performed a duet with Luke Bryan Monday night on the CMT Artists of the Year special and rumor has it, after the performance decided to record another country duets album.  Lionel released Tuskegee in 2012 and says if he records Tuskegee Part II, Luke is the first person he’ll call.

If you’re up late tonight, you can see Jake Owen perform Days of Gold, on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

In this photo released by Fox, Homer explains why he wants to bring back the annual 4th of July fireworks display, after it's cancelled for budget reasons, in the "Yellow Badge of Cowardge" Season Finale episode of "The Simpsons," in May 2014. The full 25-year run of "The Simpsons" will arrive on cable channel FXX with a summer marathon, to be paired this fall with a digital extravaganza that could turn other TV shows yellow with envy. "I'm not going to over-promise, but I think this website will provide you with affordable health care," longtime "Simpsons" executive producer Al Jean told a TV critics' meeting Monday, July 21, 2014.

The recent marathon of all 552 episodes of "The Simpsons" inspired us to sit down and come up with our 10 favorite episodes. Enjoy!
