Carrie Underwood in Sound of Music Special Tonight
Carrie Underwood in Sound of Music Special Tonight

Carrie Underwood knows she has some big shoes to fill playing Maria in the live television version of The Sound of Music.  The role was made famous by Julie Andrews in the 1965 movie and Carrie says some fans of the musical and Julie Andrews have been sending hate tweets reminding her she’s not Julie Andrews.  She’s aware she’s not Julie and she’s not trying to be.  What does Julie Andrews think of Carrie playing the role?  She is thrilled!  Go behind the scenes as the cast prepares for the live telecast of The Sound of Music tonight at 7:00 on NBC.  Carrie and the rest of the cast will appear on Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade tomorrow morning.  Tomorrow night, catch Carrie on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.

Carrie isn’t the only country star heading to Jimmy Fallon’s show.  Tonight you can see Florida Georgia Line.  The guys are promoting the release of their latest album, Here’s To The Good TImes…This is How We Roll.  You can also see them during the 87th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Garth Brooks‘ box set, Blame It All On My Roots will be available at Walmart and Walmart.com on Friday.  The collection includes 8 discs, with 77 songs, 33 music videos and a 68 page photo booklet.  After a long day of shopping, you can sit down and enjoy Garth Brooks Live From Las Vegas airing Friday night on CBS.
