Blake Shelton has a date and location for his benefit concert.  Healing in the Heartland will air on NBC next Wednesday night at 8:00.  Blake’s wife, Miranda Lambert will perform as well as Reba and Vince Gill.  More artists are expected to be be announced very soon.

Carrie Underwood, another Oklahoma native, has announced she will donate $1million from the proceeds of her Blown Away tour to the Red Cross, which assists in disasters like the tornado in Moore, OK on Monday.

The CMA Music Festival will take place in Nashville June 6-9 and as always, the concerts will be taped for an ABC special. The CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock will air August 12 with hosts Little Big Town.

The Teen Choice Award nominees were announced yesterday.  Taylor Swift is nominated for 3 awards leading all country nominees which include Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Carrie Underwood and Florida Georgia LineVoting is open now for fans age 13-19.

Multiple sources are confirming that Jennifer Hudson will return to American Idol but this time she’ll be on the other side of the table.  Jennifer has signed on as a judge for the season 13.  She competed on season 3 of the show but didn’t win.  However the Oscar and Grammy award winner has been very successful.  Kelly Clarkson is reportedly close to signing on and the third judges chair is being reserved for Adam Lambert or Clay Aiken.  That would mean no more Keith Urban.
