Illinois Marathon

Illinois Marathon

We are a proud partner of the Christie Clinic Illinois Marathon

The Illinois Marathon is fast approaching! The 5k is on April 25th and the 10k, half marathon, marathon, and marathon relay are April 26th. 20,000+ runners will be on the streets of Champaign-Urbana and thousands will line the streets to cheer on their family and friends.

Ready. Set. GLOW!
We’ve bought THOUSANDS of glow sticks for 5K runners – since the race starts late and ends in the dark, we’re going to “light the night.” 5K runners can get their glow stick at the race expo.

Pre-Race Show
We’ll be broadcasting LIVE from the start line of the marathon, half-marathon, and 10K. We’ll have conversations with the ILM co-race directors, running legends Hal Higdon and Jaqueline Hansen, runners dressed in costume, and traffic and weather information throughout the show. The show begins at 5am.

Volunteer Team
Join the Volunteer Team! There are lots of opportunities to help, but most important is being on the course, blocking traffic and cheering on runners. For a few hours of fun, you’ll get a free T-shirt and string bag! Click here to volunteer!

Marathon Minutes
Each week, we talk with a different marathon expert as we count down the weeks until the biggest event in Champaign-Urbana. Hear the latest Marathon Minute below.
