Country star Toby Keith makes a beeline for Australian camps when he is entertaining troops abroad because he knows they have beer in stock.

The singer is a regular collaborator with the United Service Organizations, which brings artists into war zones to entertain U.S. soldiers fighting abroad, and he has performed in both Afghanistan and Iraq.

Keith has now revealed he seeks out Australian soldiers when he is in a war zone as they are one of the only groups to allow drinking on base.

He tells the Sydney Morning Herald, “I would find the Australian flag (because) I knew the Australians would have beer, so I would go there and they’d say ‘Yeah mate, come in, here we go’. So I drank whatever beer they had.”

Testimony from AEG Live executive Paul Gongaware on his interactions with Jackson and his negotiations with the singer’s doctor dominated the fifth week of a civil case against the company filed by the superstar’s mother, Katherine. On Tuesday May 28, 2013, Gongaware reluctantly acknowledged that he negotiated the $150,000 per month rate that Jackson’s doctor expected to be paid to serve on the “This Is It” tour.
