NOT REALLY THERE:Keith Urban played a mall ... in hologram form. Photo: Associated Press

Keith Urban performed at a shopping mall in Sydney, Australia on Thursday in hologram form.

The country star has been recreated in digital format with the same technology used for a hologram of Michael Jackson on stage at the Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas in May, five years after the King of Pop’s death.

Urban’s hologram appeared at Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall as part of a promotion with a local bank, and fans were able to pick up instruments and play along to their hero’s song “Somewhere In My Car.”
