Country star Brad Paisley is still reeling after performing for over 3,000 U.S. troops at a top secret show in Afghanistan over the weekend.

In a special salute to the soldiers, the “Celebrity” singer joined President Barack Obama for a trip to Bagram Airfield on Sunday, and while the leader was meeting top military officials, Paisley hit the stage for what he is calling “the honor of my life” in a series of tweets.

The country singer also posted images of himself touring the army base and posing with fans.

In a video message to devotees, Paisley added, “This is Memorial Day weekend. God bless our troops.”

Returning to the U.S. hours after his special gig, the singer tweeted, “God bless America, home safe. Thanks for the lift BO (Barack Obama). Our military is the best the world has ever seen.”
