Donate to April Foods Day

Help us celebrate April Foods Day! We’ve teamed up 217 Inc, Smoke & Shine Bar and Grill, Rector Solar and Roofing, and Martinelli’s Market to try and raise $15,000 for the Eastern Illinois Foodbank by April 1st.

We will be asking for your donations throughout March. And we have several Sponsor Partners who have stepped up to make Matching Contributions throughout the month. Thanks to:

And look for us on April 1st, at Martinelli’s Market at 500 C North Walnut in Champaign as we host an all-day fundraiser!

Here are some facts about hunger:

  • At any given time, more than 100,000 people in eastern Illinois face food insecurity.
  • In the last several years, child food insecurity in eastern Illinois has risen by nearly 30%. 1 in 6 children currently experience hunger.
  • Eastern Illinois Foodbank serves 18 counties in Eastern Illinois. They are the primary food source for food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and other programs.
  • Every donation to Eastern Illinois Foodbank can have a huge impact! Each $1 donated provides enough food to feed one of our neighbors for a day.
